Daniel Biaggi is an internationally recognized opera executive, producer, and consultant whose work has shaped artistic planning, community engagement, and organizational leadership in the opera world for more than two decades. He is best known as the Founder and CEO of Biaggi Arts Consulting, where he works closely with opera companies, young artist programs, and individual performers to advance artistic excellence, strategic planning, and audience development.

Biaggi’s leadership in the performing arts spans a wide range of roles. From General Director of Palm Beach Opera, where he strengthened both the financial and artistic foundations of the company, to Interim Artistic Director of Portland Opera, he has guided major institutions through periods of transition, innovation, and community connection. During his tenure in Palm Beach, Biaggi helped the company achieve fiscal stability and artistic growth, earning recognition such as the Lifetime Achievement Award for Leadership and Artistic Excellence from the National Society of Arts and Letters.

Beyond administrative leadership, Biaggi has deep experience as a creative consultant, artistic advisor, casting strategist, and educator. He served as Artistic Advisor for the Atkins Young Artists Fellowship at the Mariinsky Theatre in Russia, and he has been involved in career development and curriculum planning for emerging opera talent.

Biaggi’s background also includes artist management, having co‑managed the careers of dozens of singers internationally, and teaching roles at distinguished institutions such as the Manhattan School of Music and the Juilliard School of Music. He has adjudicated prestigious competitions, including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the Richard Tucker Music Foundation Competition, shaping the next generation of operatic artists.

A classically trained singer himself, Biaggi holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, a Bachelor of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and additional advanced credentials in musicology and nonprofit management. He also develops media and performance projects, including documentaries and staged readings that explore opera’s cultural impact.

Today, Daniel Biaggi continues to influence the global opera scene, blending artistic insight, leadership experience, and a commitment to community engagement that helps sustain and expand the art form.
